At Silver Linings, we strive to make learning a creative, empowering, and joyful experience. Not only is your instructor a musician but also a board certified music therapist. We know that every student learns differently and at different paces, and we have the knowledge and experience to ensure that learning is accessible to everyone. Each student's needs and abilities are at the forefront of each and every lesson.

Young Maestros
Ages 2-4
Weekly 30 min. lessons
"Young Maestros" is aimed towards getting kiddos prepared to step right into an instrument! It is an engaging option for your little one to learn the basics of music in an environment that encourages creativity. Students follow along with Faber's "My First Piano Adventures" books, which is designed for the pre-reading child. Lessons incorporate musical games and movement to supplement the written material and to solidify foundational concepts. While the written material is geared for piano learning, it has been our experience that using the piano as a visual for basic concepts is the most successful route for young ones and easily translates to other instruments when the time comes.

Piano
Ages 5+
Weekly 30 min. lessons
Whether a first-time learner, self-taught, or have years of experience playing, Silver Linings can help. Our approach to teaching piano inspires creativity, cultivates discipline, and rejoices in victories both big and small. Students are taught from Faber's method books, in addition to other supplementary material. At Silver Linings, we infuse lessons with music theory concepts for all students, as we have found it to be a vital component of learning and musical growth.
Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced students are recommended to participate in 30 minute lessons on a weekly basis.

Guitar or Ukulele
Ages 5+
Weekly 30 min. lessons
If you are new to either the acoustic guitar or ukulele, Silver Linings is a great place to start. In addition to learning their respective instrument, students are also able to grasp concepts of music that are foundational to all areas of musical knowledge. We allow the student to guide the direction of study, whether it be an interest in learning basic chords or melodic lines, developing new strum patterns and finger-picking styles, or songwriting and collaboration with other musicians.
Guitar and Ukulele students are recommended to participate in 30 minutes lessons on a weekly basis.
